之前曾有來自加拿大電訊商 Telus 的消息，指 HTC Desire HD 的 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich 升級會取消，並指是由於在測試過程中手機表現未如理想所致。
外國網站 Android Central 就此事特向 HTC 查詢，得到的回應是 Desire HD 和 Desire S 會獲得 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich 升級，跟原先計劃沒有改變。
We remain committed to providing customers with the latest software updates when possible. As such, we are pleased to confirm we are still on schedule to deliver an Ice Cream Sandwich upgrade for both the HTC Desire HD and Desire S.
各位 HTC Desire HD 用家可以安心靜待 HTC 發放 ICS 升級。
