BlackBerry 公佈 BBM Messaging 將會擴展至其他手機平台，包括 Android 和 iOS。BBM 一向都是 BlackBerry 其中一個賣點，擴展至其他平台就是要吸納更多用家。

BlackBerry 將會在今年夏天推出可適用於 Android 4.0+ (Ice Cream Sandwich) 的免費 BBM Messaging App，亦會有支援 iOS6 的 App。
初推出時，只會有 Messaging 功能，稍後會陸續添加其他功能。
We’re starting with messaging and groups, but we’ll bring voice, screen share, and of course, channels later on
不知道 BBM 出現在甚他平台後，WhatsApp, Line 等等會怎樣應對呢？
