新西蘭 Samsung 在官方網頁的保養條款中，不經意透露了 Galaxy S5 Mini 俱備防水功能。
在 Warranty 頁面，內裏有寫關於 S5, S5 Mini 的防水條款
D. This Warranty does not cover water damage to the Samsung Galaxy S5, S5 Mini or S4 Active Mobile Phone where the water damage was caused by:
• improper closure of the back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S5, S5 Mini or S4 Active Mobile Phone; or
• use of a non Samsung accessory cover; or
• submersion of the Samsung Galaxy S5, S5 Mini or S4 Active Mobile Phone in water for 30 minutes or more; or
• the depth of the water at which the Samsung Galaxy S5, S5 Mini or S4 Active Mobile Phone was submerged was greater than or equal to 1 metre.
見到條款中，S5 和 S5 Mini 都是一致的，相信兩者的防水規格級應是一樣 IP67。
