之前不斷有消息指 Nexus 系列將會在今年結束，並會由名為 Android Silver 的新計劃，但一路以來 Google 方面未有就此回應。
Nexus 機仍會繼續
最近 Google 的 Android 工程主管 Dave Burke 接受訪問時表示，這些 Nexus 系列會結束的傳言是錯的。

People have been commenting about Nexus because there is something else and they think that means the end of Nexus. That is the totally wrong conclusion to make.
Dave Burke 表示，當軟件團隊開發新版本時，硬件團隊亦會研發新機配合這些新功能，兩方面的開發會相互配合。Dave Burke 進一步解釋，不可能只單純開發系統軟件，編寫程式碼，但又沒有對應的硬件平台，開發編寫的程式系統需要實際運作使用才可。他亦表示 Nexus 機是一個用來展示 Android 應如今運作的好方法。
不評論 Android Silver
至於另一流傳重點 Android Silver，Dave Burke 就拒絶評論。
