Pokemon GO 今個星期將會有更新，會加入新小精靈，並會有其他改動如：新Berry, 頭像設定等。
Pokemon GO 官網公佈，將會在今個星期加入第二代金銀版的小精靈，會有80多隻新小精靈加入。
Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Totodile, and many more Pokémon are nearly here! Starting later this week, you’ll have the opportunity to catch more than 80 Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games.
除了有新小精靈外，還有其他改進，包括引入更多精靈的進化，而補捉小精靈的畫面亦會有改進，可以在畫面直接選取精靈球和 Berries。個人頭像亦會有更新，可以自選帽子, 衣褲以及其他配件。
Berries 亦會新增兩個種類，Nanab Berries 和 Pinap Berries。Nanab Berries 可以減慢小精靈的動作速度，而使用 Pinap Berries 後若即刻成功補捉，就可以獲得雙倍糖果。
