Google 旗下的 Nexus 和 Pixel 裝置都有定明更新支援時間，簡單來說手機裝置推出兩年內都會有 Android 系統更新，至於安全更新 Security Update 一般就是三年，過了時限 Google 就不保證推再提供更新。而每部裝置的更新到期日都在 Support 網頁上列明。
延長 Security Update 支援兩個月
Nexus 5X 和 6P 於 2015年推出，根據原先訂下的時間，Android 系統更新就在今年9月結束，而 Security Update 就在 2018年9月結束。不過昨天 Support 網頁上所列出的時間就改動了，原先 2018年9月結束的 Security Update 就改寫成 2018年 11月，即是延長了兩個月。
Google 未有透露兩部機的 Security Update 延長原因。雖然 Android 系統更新已完結，Android 8.0 Oreo 後不會再有新版本更新，但對於用家而言，延長兩個月 Security Update 也是好事。
