在 Qualcomm Tech Summit 首日會期上，Qualcomm 簡短公佈了 Snapdragon 845 處理器，並會在 12月6日有較詳盡的發佈。
Snapdragon 845 亦是 Qualcomm 跟 Samsung Electronics 協同合作的成果，Samsung 更負責 Snapdragon 845 的生產。預計2018年推出的 Samsung S 系列新機 Galaxy S9 也會用上 Snapdragon 845。上年 Snapdragon 835，Samsung 跟 Qualcomm 達成協議，全取所有最初的產量，並用於當時新推出的 Galaxy S8 和 S8+，令其他廠商當時的新機也未有採用 Snapdragon 835，未清楚今年 Samsung 會否也有相同的策略部署。
在 Tech Summit 同台還有小米 CEO 雷軍，他亦表示小米下一代旗艦機也會採用 Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 處理器。
