Android 9 Pie 在八月時已經正式推出，暫時只有 Google Pixel 系列和 Essential Phone 推出了 Android 9 更新。最新再有 OnePlus 6 提供 Android 9 Pie 更新，但是屬於測試的 Open Beta 版本。
Android 9.0 Pie 首個 Open Beta 除了有 Android 9 的系統改動外，亦有一些 OnePlus 的更新改動，包括：Color Customization, 全新的 Do Not Disturb 模式, 以及 Gaming Mode 3.0。

Google Pay 未能運作
這個是 Beta 版本，也有一些尚未解決的 Known Issues，包括：Google Pay 未能運作, Google Play Store 會顯示 “Device is not Certified by Google”
，而有些 Apps 可能在 Beta 版本下未能運作。
想要使用 Open Beta 可以下載ROM 至手機內，並在 System Update 選擇 Local Upgrade 安裝。若果是從之前的 Developer Preview 版本更新的話，還需要 Wipe Data。
