Google 將會在五月舉行 Google I/O 2019 大會，當中的 Session Schedule 已經公佈了，當中就揭示 Android Q 會推出 Dark Mode。
Android 其中一個 Session 名為 “Moving Away from the Light with Android Q“，這個標題意思十分明確，就是指 Dark Mode 呢，而當中內容亦提及 Android Q’s new customization and navigation features，應該就是之前流傳 Android Q 內 Back Button 將會以手勢操作替代。
