Samsung 最新推出的平板 Galaxy Tab S5e 疑似有設計缺陷，當用家橫向握著平板時，有機會覆蓋天線，嚴重影響 Wifi 接收。
在 Instagram 上，有網友貼文指當 Galaxy Tab S5e 橫向 (前置相機在左邊) 時，握著平板 Wifi 訊號接收就會大幅下跌並會斷線。該名網友亦將 S9+ 放在隔鄰，但兩者 Wifi 訊號有明顯分別，其後他將平板帶回 Bestbuy 更換，再確認第二部 S5e 平板也出現相同情況。

而在 Bestbuy 上的 Review 亦有多人回報遇到相同情況。
“Only one thing that’s gonna make me return it. When you hold it straight up and down your fine but when you hold it sideways in landscape position your hand naturally holds both sides and therefore covering the wifi antenna on the backside of the tablet and wifi coverage drops out.”
“The wifi antennae is setup such that holding the device on the sides in landscape mode causes the signal to stop.”
“Same wifi issue in landscape orientation. All networks drop out.”
硬件設計問題
Galaxy Tab S5e 橫向 (前置相機在左邊)，左下握著平板的左下角位置，就會覆蓋了天線接收位影響 Wifi 接收。SamMobile 網站亦做了測試，只要用手覆蓋平板橫向時左下角位置，Wifi 訊號就會大幅下跌 50%。不過 SamMobile 就未能完全重演 Wifi 斷線情況，可能是本身 Router 發射的 Wifi 訊息較強關係，但Wifi 訊號大幅下跌足以影響觀看影片串流, 即時網上遊戲操作等。
由於這個是硬件設計問題，所以就算透過軟件更新也無法解決。Galaxy S5e 用家應對的方法是：(1) 直向使用平板，天線位置就會在左上角，應該不會被覆蓋；(2) 橫向使用平板，但將平板反過來即前置鏡頭在右邊，這時天線位置就在右上角，同樣較難被覆蓋；(3) 找一個較好位置以接收較強的 Wifi 訊號，減低影響。
