Nearby Share 功能就如蘋果的 AirDrop，可以讓用家將圖片檔案等分享給附近的朋友。Google 早前已開展了 Beta 測試向少數用家推送 Nearby Share 功能，用家若有安裝 Google Play Services Beta 版本就有機會收到這項新功能試用。
到底何時會正式全面推出 Nearby Share 功能呢，Google 方面到現在還未有任何消息。不過最新 XDA 編輯就收到消息指，Google 已通知廠商，將會在8月向全部 Android 6.0 或以上裝置推出 Nearby Share 功能。不過這只是流傳消息，沒有任何佐證，但既然 Google 已向大眾開展了 Beta 測試，距離正式推出應該不會太遙遠。
