之前已有傳言指 Samsung 8月5日舉行的 Galaxy Unpacked Event 除了會公佈 Note20 系列外，還會公佈摺叠屏幕機 Galaxy Z Fold 2。
最近 Samsung 就在 Twitter 貼文，放出了一段宣傳短片，並寫著 One fold, infinite possibilities. Unpacked on August 5, 2020. 似乎是暗示會在 Unpacked Event 公佈新一代摺叠屏幕的 Galaxy Z Fold 2。
不過一直消息都指，發佈會內會公佈多部裝置，但只有 Note20 立即開賣，其他裝置要等待到 9月或10月上才推出市場開售。
