Google 已透露將會在 8月3日公佈新電話，應該就是 Pixel 4a。而最新在 Android Open Source Project (AOSP) 就首次出現了 Pixel 5a，在其中一段 Comment 就列出了各個 Pixel 裝置和相應的 Android 版本。
其中一行是 30 (R) Pixel 4a 5G/5/5a，當中 30 是 API Level Number 也就是 Android 11 (Android R)。由此可知，這三部機 Pixel 4a 5G, Pixel 5 和 Pixel 5a 都是預載 Android 11 的。
要留意是 Android 11 要到 9月才正式推出 Stable 版本，也就是 Pixel 4a 5G 並不會在 8月3日推出，相信要等到 9月以後才會登場。
