月初 Google 公佈 Pixel 4a 時，亦簡單提及了 Pixel 4a 5G 和 Pixel 5，官方未有透露詳情，但Goolge 法國 Blog 就意外貼出了 Pixel 4a 5G 和 Pixel 5 將會在 10月8日開始接受預訂。最新就有著名科技分析師 Jon Prosser 表示，Pixel 4a 5G 和 Pixel 5 提早在9月尾推出。
Jon Prosser 過往爆料都十分準確，今次他就表示 Pixel 5 黑色和綠色以及 Pixel 4a 5G 黑色會在 9月30日推出，至於 Pixel 4a 5G 白色則要等到十月才推出。Jon Prosser 未有透露其他資料。
過往幾年 Google 都是在十月初舉行硬件發佈會，但今年因為武漢肺炎大流行影響下，Google I/O 都要取消，而 Pixel 4a 發佈亦要推遲，已經很難按照往年的時間表去推斷新機發佈時間。打算買 Pixel 機的，可以考慮一下會不會等待一個月等 Pixel 4a 5G 或 Pixel 5，還是現在就購買 Pixel 4a。
