Google Photos 除了可以無限量儲存高質素相片外，亦備有相片編輯功能，再加上它是免費的，所以不少人都會使用。但將來情況可能會改變，Google 正在開發將 Google Photos 內一些編輯功能只限予 Google One 付費會員才可使用。
XDA 網站報道中貼出了最新的 Google Photos 截圖，可以看到當中的 Color Pop 濾鏡效果寫明只限予 Google One 用家使用，提示訊息更寫明 “Unlock more editing features and storage with Google One”。
Google 回應 Engadget 查詢時就表示原本的 Color pop 功能仍舊會免費開放使用例如用於人像相片，只是 Google One Members 可以應用更多特效於不同類型相片上。

As a part of an ongoing rollout that began earlier this year, Google One members can apply the feature to even more photos of people, including those without depth information.
Google Photos 過往一直都是免費，長遠引入收費部份亦是可預期。另一方面 Google One 似乎亦不再限於儲存空間的功用，之前 Google 為 Google One 2TB 用家提供 VPN 服務，現在 Google One 用家又可以使用 Google Photos 的限定特效功能，似乎 Google 會為 Google One 付費用家引入更多服務功能呢。
