Google Assistant 時代即將劃下句號，取而代之的是更強大 AI 功能的 Gemini。
Google 官方正式宣布，今年稍後時間將全面淘汰 Google Assistant，意味著在你的手機、平板，甚至是智能家居設備上，都將迎來 Gemini。這項轉變預計將影響「大多數」行動裝置，相關 App 也將從應用商店下架。雖然確實時間尚未公布，但外界推測 Google I/O 大會或許會是個關鍵時間點。
Over the coming months, we’re upgrading more users on mobile devices from Google Assistant to Gemini; and later this year, the classic Google Assistant will no longer be accessible on most mobile devices1 or available for new downloads on mobile app stores.
Google 的野心可不只如此，Gemini 不僅將成為手機上的預設 AI 助理，更將延伸至平板、汽車、智慧手錶、耳機等多元裝置。就連 Nest Hub、智慧喇叭、電視等智慧家庭產品，也將獲得由 Gemini 驅動的全新體驗。
然而，我們也會問 Gemini 能否完美接替 Google 助理的所有功能，甚至帶來更進階的應用？現時的 Google Assistant 相對是簡單的指令式操作，使用 AI 能否保持簡單的操作之餘，還可以提供更多不同的應用場景和操作呢。Google 亦表示將推出更新，支援更多操作包括播放音樂、設定時計、甚至在鎖定屏幕上操控。
