在 Google I/O 上公佈了 Android M，並放出了 Developer Preview 版本。廠商方面，HTC 亦隨即在 Twitter 作出關於 Android M 公佈。
HTC 表示 HTC One M9 和 M9+ 將會獲得 Android M 升級，稍後會公佈更多獲得升級的裝置。
其實 M9, M9+ 獲得升級都沒有太特別，今年才推出的新機若果沒有升級才是大消息呢。反而更加想知道那些上年推出的手機會否有升級呢，尤其是一些中階機種，如 Desire 系列那些。
