美国华尔街日报 Wall Street Journal 报道，Google 将会推出名为 “Drive” 的云端储存服务。
“Drive” 可容许用家将相片，影片或档案储存至 Google 的服务器内，并可随时透过接上网络的装置进行存取。
现在，市场上已有多家云端储存服务，较知名的有 Dropbox 和 Box.net。这两间公司都跟不同的手机制商商合作，为手机用户提供免费的储存空间。相信 Google 加入市场会对现有的公司造成一定的竞争。
连结分享
Google 的 Drive 服务除了可让用家存取相片，影片和档案，亦可跟其他用家分享。只要将档案上载至云端储存，再将连结跟友人分享，而不需直接电邮档案。
快将推出，免费使用
WSJ 表示 Google Drive 会在未来数星期或数月推出，而大部份个人和商业用家都会免费，只会向储存大量档案的用家收费。
The Google service, which is expected to launch in the coming weeks or months, will be free for most consumers and businesses. Google will charge a fee to those who want to store a large amount of files, the people familiar with the matter said.
暂时仍未有太多的详情，但 Google 推出云端储存，若可整合至旗下的 Google Music, Picasa, Google Docs 以至 Gmail 的 Attachment 储存，相信一定会颇受欢迎。
