一直都有传 Asus 会为 Google 推出 7 吋 Nexus 平板，亦有传会运行下一代系统 Android 5.0 Jelly Bean 。
Jelly Bean 是 Android 4.1
但从最新在 Benchmark 网站找到的资料显示，这部 Nexus 平板应是运行 Jelly Bean，但版本为 Android 4.1，而不是 5.0。
从 Benchmark 网站找到的资料 Google Asus Nexus 7 的规格为
– NVIDIA Tegra 3 1.3GHz 四核芯处理器 + ULP GeForce
– 768×1280屏幕
– Android 4.1 (Build Number: JRN51B)
其中 Build Number 为 JRN51B 是以 J 字为首，就是 JellyBean 的意思。一直以来 Build Number 的首个字母都是用作分辨 Android 版本，过往的 Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, 以至 ICS 都是同样做法。
至于 Android 4.1 跟 Android 4.0 有什么分别？则有待发掘更多的消息。随着越来越多的 Nexus Tablet 的消息出现，相信 Nexus Tablet 很大机会在六月举行的 Google I/O 大会亮相！
