上年十二月时，AirDroid 2 Beta 已经推出让用家抢先测试，经过数个月时间，今天 AirDroid 2 正式推出。AirDroid 遥距手机管理工具，一向都十分受欢迎。用家在手机安装 AirDroid 后，就可以经由电脑的浏览器遥距管理手机。
而 AirDroid 2 有几项新增功能，其中最重要的新功能，就是电脑和手机不用在同一 Wifi 网络下也可连线操作。只要预先建立 AirDroid 帐户，手机和电脑在不同网络下 (例如手机透过 3G 上网) 也可连接操作。
除此以外，还有搜寻电话功能。利用电脑登入，就可开启手机的 GPS 查找手机的所在位置，并显示在地图上。另外还增加了遥控相机, 来电通知等功能。
