之前曾经传过多间厂商争取跟 Google 合作开发第五代 Nexus 手机，跟着又有传 Motorola X Phone 会是第五代亲生仔。现在又有 Nexus 5 的消息传出，指 LG 正在跟 Google 再合作，开发 Nexus 5 手机。
虽然坊间对 Nexus 4 开售情况不太满意，但 Nexus 4 手机对于 Google 和 LG 来说是十分成功。韩国 Korea Times 报道，LG 和 Google 两间公司正在开发下一代 Nexus 手机，LG 更希望将合作扩展至电视甚至 Google Glass。
