Custom ROM CyanogenMod 不断发展壮大，最终成成为公司 CyanogenMod Inc。当然未必所有参与 CM ROM 开发的 Developers 喜欢这一转变。
而最新就有另一个 Custom ROM 成立，并有三个 Developers 高手带头，Chainfire, Dees_Troy, 和 和 Xplodwild，有留意 Custom ROM / 刷 ROM 都可能听过他们的名字。
三个高手牵头
Chainfire 最出名当然是 SuperSU，还有不断提供不同机种的 Root 机破解。Dees_Troy 就是 TWRP Recovery 的主力 Developers，而 Xplodwild 就是 Focal Camera App 开发者，他亦是前 CyanogenMod 成员。

OnmiROM 亦强调用户参与，鼓励用户对 Nightly Build 提供 Bug Reports。这正正跟其他 Custom ROM 不同，很多 ROM 都指明不要 “投诉” Nightly Build 的问题，要预期 Nightly Build 有问题的。但 OnmiROM 则话 Nightly 系为了新 Features, 亦预期会是 Stable 的。

OmniROM 支援装置
OmniROM 暂时只支援 Nexus 装置, Sony Xperia Z, Xperia Tablet Z, Oppo Find 5，并初步支援 Samsung i9300 和 Oppo R819。
