在 6月时，Google 购入了 Waze 公司，强化 Google Maps 和 Navigation 导航功能。Waze 最大特式是由用户回馈分享路面资讯，驾驶人仕就可获知即时路面资讯，交通意外, 封路消息等等。
今天，Google 在 Google+ 表示会为 Google Maps 推出更新，并会将 Waze 扩展至 46个国家和地区，不过 Google 未有透露是那些国家/地区。
