上年 HTC One 也有推出 Google Play Edition 版本 (GPE)，就是系统无添加，是纯 Android 系统，没有厂商自家 Apps。而将会在 25/3 公布的 All New HTC One (M8) 也会有 Google Play Edition。
@evleaks 在 Twitter 贴出消息，表示 M8 也会有 Google Play Edition。
Also, like its predecessor, look for M8 to arrive as a Google Play Edition.
不过，香港 Play Store 没有 Google Play Edition 手机售卖，但对 Custom ROM 开发来说，有 GPE 版本也是相对较方便呢。
