喜欢自己刷 ROM 或改机的朋友，都会想手机可以很自由地被改动，包括 unlock bootloader。一些大厂品牌例如 HTC 已有官方提供的 Unlock Bootloader 方法，但 LG 郤未有这方面的便利，未有提供官方的 Unlock Bootloader 方法。
XDA 讨论区 member Wolfgart 就贴出了一封来自 LG 的电邮，显示 LG 正在开发 Unlock Bootloader 方法。

电邮中提到，LG 留意到 Developers 对于 Unlock Bootloader 的要求，他们正在准备一个服务器以提供 Bootloader Unlock，并研究有关的做法和推出时间。不过由于有一些技术上限制和保安问题，以至电讯网络上的政策，所以还需要一些时间。
So we have been preparing a server to provide safer bootloader unlock.
Also, we are internally discussing the target model and the time of providing bootloader unlock.
However, it will take some more time due to the technical restrictions, security issues, and the policy of mobile carriers.
