Google Play Store 之前已经停卖红色和白色 Nexus 5，大家都预计 Nexus 5 应会快将停售。
Google 就确认 Nexus 5 已经正式停产，至于 Play Store 上的 Nexus 5 则会继续锁售，直至明年第一季。
once they are gone, they’re gone
Google 发言人在接受科技网站 TechRadar 查询时，确认 Nexus 5 已经停产，并表示 “once they are gone, they’re gone” 卖晒就无。其后另一科技网站 The Verge 向 Google 查询，Google 就指 Nexus 5 会继续在 Play Store 和其他零售商舖锁售直至明年第一季。
其实 Nexus 5 规格计还是顶级，而且升上了 Android 5.0 Lollipop 又再进一步，仍有一定的捧场客。不过 Nexus 6 推出了，旧机就要慢慢 phase out，不然就影响了新机的销情。
