Google 过往一直都把 Google Phone App (Dialer) 以及 Contacts 联络人 App 整合在系统内。若要更新，就必需跟在系统内进行更新，十分不方便。
只限 Marshmallow
终于 Google 将这两个 Apps 分拆出来，直接放上 Google Play Store。之后进行更新就可以透过 Play Store 进行。虽然两个 Apps 已放上 Play Store，但现在仍只限运行 Android 6.0 Marshmallow 的 Nexus 装置以及 Google Play Edition 装置才可更新。
说回今次更新，Google Phone 就由 v2.2 升至 v2.3.12，并加入了 “来电封锁” 功能。封锁的电话号码会被拦阻，但对方仍可录制语音留言。
至于 Google Contacts 就简化了联络人编辑功能，可以将同一个联络人不同的 Contacts 资料整合一起。
