Google Maps 推出了更新，在地图界面上有新标示方式，显示城市内较 “热闹” 旳地方。
Google Maps 上充满不同的资讯，道路网, 商店, 不同建筑物等，有时都会眼花了乱。最新 Google 就改进了 Google Maps 抽起了一些不必要的标记，例如 Road Outlines，可以让画面更加清晰，而且可以令其他有用资讯更突出易看。另外 Google 亦改善了街名, 地鏄站等的字体，更易跟其他的用字分辨。下面左边是旧地图，右边就是较清楚的新地图。
Areas of interest
除了上述外，今次更新还会为城市内一些地方热点 (Areas of interest) 以橙色作标示。这些都是较多餐厅, 食肆, 和商店的地区。
We determine “areas of interest” with an algorithmic process that allows us to highlight the areas with the highest concentration of restaurants, bars and shops.
例如下面地图铜锣湾 Sogo, 时代广场一带都是橙色，湾仔一带也一样，这些都是 Areas of interest。
再 Zoom 近一点看，时代广场是橙色，都是较热闹的地方，但礼顿道近开平道那边以及下面木球会和跑马地口一带就是正常没有橙色标示。
新的 Google Maps 会在各个平台 Desktop 和 Apps 推出。
