在 Android 平台上有不少的 Keyboard App，当中 Swype Keyboard 是其中一个较受欢迎的 Keyboard App，不过最新消息是开发 Swype Keyboard 的 Nuance 公司表示 Swype Keyboard 会停止开发，即是话 Swype Keyboard 往后不会有更新。
在 Reddit 上，有用家表示曾向 Nuance 团队查问有关 Swype Keyboard 的技术问题，获得回应表示 Swype Keyboard 已停止开发，团队已转向集中开发针对商业用家市场的 AI 解决方案。
However, we are sad to announce that Swype+Dragon for Android has faced end of development. Here is a statement from Swype Product Team:
Nuance will no longer be updating the Swype+Dragon keyboard for Android. We’re sorry to leave the direct-to-consumer keyboard business, but this change is necessary to allow us to concentrate on developing our AI solutions for sale directly to businesses.

Swype Keyboard 可说是最早推出滑动键盘 App 之一，用家只要在键盘上依据字母顺序滑动就可以作输入，极之方便。Swype 亦极之受欢迎，在 Play Store 有过百万的下载量，亦有一些厂商将 Swype Keyboard 预载在手机内，全球有超过 2亿用家。
Swype Keyboard 不再更新，但仍旧可以使用，但长远而言，还是需要转用其他 Keyboard，可以考虑 SwiftKey 又或者 Google Gboard，同样都有滑动输入功能。
