Nearby Share 功能就如苹果的 AirDrop，可以让用家将图片档案等分享给附近的朋友。Google 早前已开展了 Beta 测试向少数用家推送 Nearby Share 功能，用家若有安装 Google Play Services Beta 版本就有机会收到这项新功能试用。
到底何时会正式全面推出 Nearby Share 功能呢，Google 方面到现在还未有任何消息。不过最新 XDA 编辑就收到消息指，Google 已通知厂商，将会在8月向全部 Android 6.0 或以上装置推出 Nearby Share 功能。不过这只是流传消息，没有任何佐证，但既然 Google 已向大众开展了 Beta 测试，距离正式推出应该不会太遥远。
