过往 Wear OS 手表使用 Google Maps 导航时，都需要依靠跟电话连线才可运作。在上年年中 Google 曾透露 Wear OS 手表稍后会支援 Google Maps 导航，不再需要连接电话。
Wear OS Support Community 今早公布正式推出这项功能。配备了 LTE 的 Wear OS 手表 (又或连接了 Wifi) 就可以直接在手表上使用 Google Maps 导航，不用连接电话。
We’re excited to share that you can now get Google Maps turn by turn navigation right on your LTE* watch, no phone required. If you have an LTE-enabled watch, or your watch is connected to the internet via WiFi, you can now enjoy having Maps available on your wrist.
这个改进对于做运动人仕十分方便，例如跑步或踩自行车只需戴着手表，不用㩦带电话也可以。要在手表上使用 Google Maps 导航十分简单，只要在手表开启 Google Maps，跟住利用语音或键盘，又或在地图上选定目的地，再选择交通模式，之后就可以开始旅程。
