之前已有消息手机八达通将会登陆 Android 手机，过往一直只有 Samsung , Apple 和华为才可使用手机八达通，八达通公司早前就透露将会推出 Android 版八达通，并且在官方网站设立“体验版”登记连结。
最新在 Google System Release Notes 上亦有关于八达通资料列出。在 Google Play Services v24.14 (2024-04-10) 更新中，其中关于 Wallet 部份就有一项更新提到，用家将可在 Walleet 上使用香港八达通。

似乎 Google Play Services 更新推送后，Android 手机版八达通应该就可以开放使用。之前网上亦有消息指，八达通公司可能会在今个星期尾开放推出。
