Sony Xperia S 已经可以升级 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich。按 Sony 之前的讲法，在 Xperia S 升级之后，Xperia P 就会获得升级，之后就是 Xperia U。但就未有一个较清楚的时间。
最近，意大利 Sony 在 Facebook 回应查询时，表示 Xperia P 将会在八月初升级至 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich。
未清楚 “八月初” 是指全球还是只限意大利地区，但估计日子应该相差不太远。

Android Developers 网站定期发布 Android 平台各个版本的市占率，最新截止 7月 2日的数字，使用 Android 4.0或以上的手机装置已占整体 10.9%，终于达到双位数字，较六月的数字上升了 3.8%。

Sony Xperia S 已经开始 Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich 升级，跟其他 Sony Xperia 手机升级情况相同，Sony 会按 Xperia S 手机内的 SI Number 分批推出升级。
SI Number 可以打开 Xperia S 背盖，在机内背部找到。
