自從 Google 在五月推出獨立的 Google Photos 服務後，都預計原先在 Google+ 的 Photos 功能會終止。今日 Google 就正式公佈，將會在 8月1日終止 Google+ Photos，會由 Android 開始, 跟著 Web 和 iOS。
on August 1st we’ll start to shut down Google+ Photos — initially on Android, and soon thereafter on the Web and iOS.
若果仍在使用 Google+ Photos，當在 Android 開啟 Google+ Photos 時就會有提示，指示下載 Google Photos App。原先所有的相片和影片都會轉移至 Google Photos App 內。
若果不更新至新的 Google Photos App，Android 內的 Google+ Photos 會很快停止服務 (只餘10天左右)。不過內裏的相片和影片可以透過網頁 http://photos.google.com 匯出。
If you don’t update to the new Google Photos, Google+ Photos on Android will soon stop working, but your photos and videos will still remain safely stored and available via http://photos.google.com or for export using Google Takeout.
