Google Maps 推出了更新，在地圖界面上有新標示方式，顯示城市內較 “熱鬧” 旳地方。
Google Maps 上充滿不同的資訊，道路網, 商店, 不同建築物等，有時都會眼花瞭亂。最新 Google 就改進了 Google Maps 抽起了一些不必要的標記，例如 Road Outlines，可以讓畫面更加清晰，而且可以令其他有用資訊更突出易看。另外 Google 亦改善了街名, 地鏄站等的字體，更易跟其他的用字分辨。下面左邊是舊地圖，右邊就是較清楚的新地圖。
Areas of interest
除了上述外，今次更新還會為城市內一些地方熱點 (Areas of interest) 以橙色作標示。這些都是較多餐廳, 食肆, 和商店的地區。
We determine “areas of interest” with an algorithmic process that allows us to highlight the areas with the highest concentration of restaurants, bars and shops.
例如下面地圖銅鑼灣 Sogo, 時代廣場一帶都是橙色，灣仔一帶也一樣，這些都是 Areas of interest。
再 Zoom 近一點看，時代廣場是橙色，都是較熱鬧的地方，但禮頓道近開平道那邊以及下面木球會和跑馬地口一帶就是正常沒有橙色標示。
新的 Google Maps 會在各個平台 Desktop 和 Apps 推出。
