之前已有消息手機八達通將會登陸 Android 手機，過往一直只有 Samsung , Apple 和華為才可使用手機八達通，八達通公司早前就透露將會推出 Android 版八達通，並且在官方網站設立「體驗版」登記連結。
最新在 Google System Release Notes 上亦有關於八達通資料列出。在 Google Play Services v24.14 (2024-04-10) 更新中，其中關於 Wallet 部份就有一項更新提到，用家將可在 Walleet 上使用香港八達通。

似乎 Google Play Services 更新推送後，Android 手機版八達通應該就可以開放使用。之前網上亦有消息指，八達通公司可能會在今個星期尾開放推出。
