Android 透過最新的 Google Play 服務更新，推出了一項新的安全機制：如果裝置「連續鎖定三天」，系統將會自動重新啟動。
在 Google Play 服務 25.14 版本的更新說明中提到：
[Phone] With this feature, your device automatically restarts if locked for 3 consecutive days.
Google Play 服務 25.14 將在接下來的一星期陸續推出，但 Android 的自動重啟功能可能還需要幾週的時間才會正式啟用。由於是經由 Play 服務提供，並不涉及操作系統的更新，相信市面上絕大多數的 Android 裝置應該都能直接獲得這項自動重啟功能。
