自从 CyanogenMod 的开发人Steve Kondik 获 Samsung 聘为 Software Engineer 后，很多网友就担心 CyanogenMod 往后的发展。而开发团队成员之一 Kmobs 在 CyanogenMod Blog 内发表了一篇 “The State of CyanogenMod” 网志，讲述了最新状况。
首先，CyanogenMod 并无出售给 Samsung 或其他公司，Samsung 亦无要求 Cyanogen 停止 Custom ROM 的开发。而 CyanogenMod 团队亦没有停止开发。
I’ve been reading rumors that CyanogenMod’s core philosophy is changing, that we’ve been sold, or that we’ve given up and I want to go on record saying none of this is true at all.
若果你有留意或使用 CyanogenMod ROM，应会发觉 CyanogenMod 的步伐好像慢了下来。其中 CM 7.1 自从 6 月尾推出第一个 Release Candidate RC1 后就没有任何进展。
这是由于 CyanogenMod 团队内的成员各自忙着自己的私人事务，其中 Steve Kondik 就忙着搬家，为新工作需要搬到另一城市居住。其他成员，有的忙着开发其他 Apps，有的则需要应付学业。
网志最后亦提到他们正在整理另一个 CM7.1 的 RC 版本。大家耐心等候吧！
