Samsung 在公布4部新手机同时，亦发布了手机命名规则，大家可以更清楚了解手机是旗舰机，中阶还是入门机。
所有手机都会给予 Galaxy 的名字，并分了五个不同分类。
– “S” (Super Smart)
Devices at the very pinnacle of Samsung’s mobile portfolio.
最高规格的旗舰机，如 Galaxy S。
– “R” (Royal/Refined)
Premium category models, a combination of power, performance and productivity
高阶手机，在表现效能各方面都较优胜。
– “W” (Wonder)
High quality, strategic models, perfect for those seeking a balance between style and performance.
高质素手机，表覝效能不俗。
– “M” (Magical)
High-performance models at an economic price-point
经济实惠的型号，有较佳效能。
– “W” (Young)
Entry models or strategic models for emerging markets or a younger audience more sensitive to price
平价入门机。
另外，还有三个命名标记用作识别。
– “Pro” 俱备 QWERTY 键盘
– “Plus” 升级版
– “LTE” 支援 4G
