Samsung Galaxy Gear 跟 Note 3 一并推出时，Samsung 旗下其他手机郤未能支援兼容 Galaxy Gear。Samsung 将会为旗下八部装置推出更新，以支援使用 Galaxy Gear。
手机升级, 支援 Galaxy Gear
首先 Galaxy S4, S III 和 Note II 将会随着 Android 4.3 升级，以支援 Galaxy Gear。而 Galaxy S4 已率先在德国开始 Android 4.3 升级。而在十月尾，Samsung 就会为 Galaxy S4 mini, S4 Active, Mega 5.8, Mega 6.3, 和 S4 Zoom 提供更新以支援 Galaxy Gear。软件更新会分阶段在不同国家地区推出。
Galaxy Gear will be available for use with Galaxy S4, S III, and Note II through the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update. The update came first to Galaxy S4 devices in Germany in October.
Samsung will also extend Galaxy Gear compatibility to other GALAXY devices – including Galaxy S4 mini, S4 Active, Mega 5.8, Mega 6.3, and S4 zoom – through a separate software update beginning at the end of October. Software update schedules for each device will vary by country and carrier.
