Nexus Prime 的发布原定于 10月11日发布，其后 Google 和 Samsung 发表通告因 Steve Jobs 逝世而将有关 Nexus Prime 的发布延迟。
而 Samsung 英国的销售总监 Andrew Glass 就透露了 Nexus Prime 的消息，虽然仍未有确实日期，但就表示会在短期内发布，并会很快在市场推出，会比坊间预期更早。

这两天热哄哄的流传 Nexus Prime，真机终于出现了。来自罗马利亚 gadget.ro 网站，他们发布了 Nexus Prime 手机的操作影片，还有数张截图。

自从 Samsung 发布了 Something big is coming 短片后，坊间都在猜度 Nexus Prime (Galaxy Nexus) 的外貎和规格。
BGR 网站最先发布了 Nexus Prime 规格，而另一个手机网站 GSMArena 亦发布了 Nexus Prime 规格，但跟 BGR 所讲的有所不同。

昨晚 Samsung 发布的 Something big is coming 影片，在网络上引来了一阵哄动。除了有网有推测它可能包含了手机和 Tablet，亦有网友将这个 Something Big 的图像执靓，显示出更清楚的影像。
