Custom ROM CyanogenMod 不斷發展壯大，最終成成為公司 CyanogenMod Inc。當然未必所有參與 CM ROM 開發的 Developers 喜歡這一轉變。
而最新就有另一個 Custom ROM 成立，並有三個 Developers 高手帶頭，Chainfire, Dees_Troy, 和 和 Xplodwild，有留意 Custom ROM / 刷 ROM 都可能聽過他們的名字。
三個高手牽頭
Chainfire 最出名當然是 SuperSU，還有不斷提供不同機種的 Root 機破解。Dees_Troy 就是 TWRP Recovery 的主力 Developers，而 Xplodwild 就是 Focal Camera App 開發者，他亦是前 CyanogenMod 成員。

Users, we know you want to help out, and we know you’re frustrated when you are told “no bug reports on nightlies”. You want to help out more, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap.
OnmiROM 亦強調用戶參與，鼓勵用戶對 Nightly Build 提供 Bug Reports。這正正跟其他 Custom ROM 不同，很多 ROM 都指明不要 “投訴” Nightly Build 的問題，要預期 Nightly Build 有問題的。但 OnmiROM 則話 Nightly 係為了新 Features, 亦預期會是 Stable 的。

OmniROM 支援裝置
OmniROM 暫時只支援 Nexus 裝置, Sony Xperia Z, Xperia Tablet Z, Oppo Find 5，並初步支援 Samsung i9300 和 Oppo R819。
