美国运输部, 美国联邦航空总署以及管道和危险物质安全局共同公布，由 2016年10月15日起，禁止所有 Samsung Galaxy Note 7 登上飞机。
Individuals who own or possess a Samsung Galaxy Note7 device may not transport the device on their person, in carry-on baggage, or in checked baggage on flights to, from, or within the United States.
在美国内陆的航班, 以及前往或离开美国的般班，乘客都不可携带 Note 7, 存放于手提行李, 寄舱行李内。Note 7 亦不可透过航空货运运送。
美国消费者产品委员会主席亦提到，无论是原本还是已更换的 Note 7，它涉及的起火风险都是太大。

另外，又有一单 Note 7 爆炸事故在 Youtube 出现。根据影片说明，爆炸发生于 10月13日下午4时30分，该部 Note 7 是已经换电的一批。当时 Note 7 没有使用但就突然爆炸，影片所见事发地点是办公室内。可以看到在地上的 Note 7，靠近电池位置烧毁，并不断冒出白烟。
